Two Silence S01 electric scooters support the reduction of the CO2 footprint at the renowned racing team Sauber

Since ETRIX and Sauber, two innovative Swiss companies in the high-tech sector, joined forces about three years ago in an interesting cooperation, the Sauber team has been using two Silence S01 e-scooters to get around the race tracks. Beat Zehnder, Sporting Director at Sauber and himself an enthusiastic Silence driver for seven years, saw this as an interesting way of reducing the racing team’s carbon footprint.

Fun factor included

Where gasoline scooters were once used to get around the race course and drive down the tracks, two electric scooters now cruise elegantly, quietly and without exhaust fumes across the grounds. With the two Silence S01 & S01+, they are the strongest and best electric scooters from the ETRIX range in use. The Formula 1 drivers appreciate the many advantages of the e-scooters, such as the speedy locomotion in road traffic. It sometimes happens that the elegant racers are not only used on the race track, but also for the ride to the hotel.

Climate-friendly cooperation

ETRIX provides the racing team with two new Silence S01 electric scooters each year, free of charge and redeemed, which are inscribed with the drivers’ numbers by Sauber. In 2020/21, Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi enjoyed the benefits of the Silence electric scooters, and currently Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou. The environmentally friendly vehicles are extremely popular with the Sauber team and it is hard to imagine the racing environment without them.

No wonder, because the e-scooters from the Spanish manufacturer Silence not only impress with impressive performance and sporty elegance, but also clearly prevail over other suppliers in terms of performance and an unbeatable price-performance ratio in the test. For example, the S01/S01+ was named test winner two years in a row in the major TCS test and also in the ADAC test.
